Our on-line community is a very special place. People from all over the world get together here and we talk about our common passion -- karate. People who you would never get to meet otherwise come to this site to talk, share experiences and ideas, and to work towards better understanding of this wonderful pastime. Ken Robertson contacted me through my website and we got to chatting quite regularly. We exchanged email frequently, and chatted on-line as well. We even collaborated together in working on material for this website. Ken was my friend, and interestingly enough, he was a person who has been widely characterized by many members on our forums as being friendly, personable, welcoming, and gentle. His kind spirit was one that translated long-distances, and in his own humorous and easy-going style, made impressions on many on our forums.
Ken was killed in a terrible accident. It shocked us all. We are extremely sad and heavy of heart to hear of his passing. He was too young to be taken from his family and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those closest to him.
We miss you, Ken.
